Is there a way for me to edit the attendee list: adding, subtracting, changing names?
And will those changes be reflected in the campaign membership in Salesforce?
You may edit an existing attendee that is already a Contact. If an attendee is not yet assigned to a contact it cannot be edited.
To edit: an attendee follow the steps listed below:
Registrations
Attendee list - Contact already assigned
Click on the attendee name
Click on the Edit button
Since a registration has already been paid for an attendee may NOT be deleted - meaning if someone pays for 3 people you cannot remove one of the attendees. You may change one attendee to another contact.
I am in test mode and if I purchase a block of 5 registrations, I can not change the attendee names. The attendee records don't show a contact but the registrant record does. What am I doing wrong?
The attendees must be in the temporary contact. In the 3.x release the attendees & registrants are displayed in different places when in temporary contacts. Follow these steps & check:
Go the event
Click on the Registrations
Click on the Manage Temporary Contacts
Scroll down and see the attendees.
See this image:
The attendees are at the bottom of the page in the "Manage Temporary Contact" page.
Please note that in release 4.x, due out in 2 weeks, the registrants and attendees are merged and managed in one single location. For now you need to settle attendees separately.
If you still experience the problem please grant us login access and we can review your instance.
I see them in the Registration section under Registered Attendees but they all have the same name as the Registrant and can't be changed. I've granted access for a week. Event is Test Event.
For events that are set for "anonymous" the registrant is listed for all attendees. They cannot be changed as it is an anonymous registration. Contacts can be changed with named registration as each attendee is a Contact whereas for anonymous the attendees are simply tickets purchased by the registrant.
Anonymous is like when someone buys a ticket at a theatre. One goes to the box office and picks up 7 tickets- the system has no concern for who those tickets are for and simply assigns them to the registrant.
Okay, if the event is not setup as anonymous, can a set of registrations be purchased without knowing the names of the attendees? Can the names be added later?
No not in this release. Anonymous events cannot be renamed. This feature has been requested by others and is in the roadmap for the Q1 release in 2016. It requires a total change of the data structure and as such is a bit more complex than first appears.
At this time only the named registrations may be changed and during the registration all names are required.
You may simply navigate to the Attendee record within the Events and Edit the Contact and save it (Screen shot: Please refer to the post #2 on this thread). The changes will reflect the contact name.
Hope that helps. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

CnP.Support.AM When I go to the attendee record I am able to change to the Contact to the name that I want, but am not able to click on the attendee name to make any changes. I want the attendee name to be the same as the contact name. See screen shot for the screen I am sent to when I press edit.
First you will need to update the Contact information in Contact object. Once it updated, navigate to the respective Attendee record and edit and Save the page.
In our latest release of Events, Attendee name & posted information (other than answers to custom questions) may be edited prior to settling the Temporary Contact. This allows for assigning a new contact to the attendee prior to settling or creating the contact.
Hope that helps. Please check and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
