Registered Attendee Formula field

We need to list Registered Attendees on the page layout of their corresponding Opportunity. I see 2 ways to do this but have encountered a challenge with both as follows:

1) If we create a Registered Attendee lookup field on an Opportunity, the Search Dialog only includes names and not the associated event so we don't know which name to select. Can I edit the attributes of that Search Dialog?

2) If I create a formula field that returns the text value of their name, I cannot find the field listed in fields to merge into the formula editor. What is the Registered Attendees field name?

The challenge you are facing is because we are not saving the Opportunity ID with the attendee information. In the upcoming release, 4.x, we have added the Opportunity ID to the attendee information. In case of Opportunity > Products we are including the Product ID. Because of this feature we have added 2 fields to the Attendee object - Opportunity ID and Product ID.

The release is due out first week of November '15.

If you can wait this will make it easier for you.
