  • C&P Events - Copy Registration Information to Payment Information

Is it possible during C&P Event Registration via the standard widgets and event forms to indicate that you would like your registration information copied over to the payment information in the payment / credit card page during event check out? If so how is this accomplished (i.e. is there a checkbox somewhere for this). If not can it be accomplished using the standard C&P Event template functionality and if so how?

    Good day!

The system already does that by showing the list of attendees at the top and the registrant may choose this to fill the same information in the payment page.

I reviewed your account and do not see event being installed for org: 00DV00000088qnC

Your API & Payment apps are also quite outdated and need to be upgraded. If you want us to upgrade you please post a message to the upgrade channel & we will take care of it for you.

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes. My org does not have this installed. Sorry. I should have specified. I'm working in another org. As for your reference to the list of registrations and the ability to select one as the payee I'll check. I looked at this previously and honestly did not see this. I'm in the process of upgrading the org in question to the latest versions of the PAAS library, PAAS and C&P events.

              Thanks!

One additional comment. Per your notes I do in-fact see the list of registrants on the third page when filling in payment information. However, there appears to be no way to select a registrant as the payee and have the system auto fill in name and address for the payment information from the selected registrant. Am I missing something on the page that we need to configure? Please see attached screen shot.

                Good day @Timothy,
We have upgraded you as requested.

Our team is also reviewing your post-installation. Please make sure to review each event & the new "Registration Emails" tab in each event.

                Release notes:

In PaaS 9.1 you can now send SMS to contacts. You may want to read more about it: http://cnp.mn/1IXtLuA

If you have live events make sure to review the "Registration Emails" tab as the email to attendees & registrants will NOT be sent with this upgrade and need to be enabled in the "Registration Emails" tab. Hi guys. We received the following error notification this morning from C&P. This occurred after the upgrade that was completed yesterday. I believe you still have access to the system. Can you check on this and let me know ASAP what the issue is and if it is resolved? Also, will the system repost or should we manually repost to SF?

                    Good day!

The new release (actually was in a previous version but for you was just updated) includes the "Maintenance" feature. This feature scans through all your errors and tries to fix them. This states that you have had an error before which was not resolved and the system is now trying to automatically resolve it but it can't.

                    Here is the problem.

"Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION, This products have insufficient stock to satisfy this order, Please fix or check "Allow Backorders": []"

When the maintenance tries to resolve this issue it gets to this error which blocks it. We have 2 choices here:
                    1. Resolve the issue and fix the validation rule that is blocking this
                    2. Delete the C&P Data so it won't get processed.
This error is not new but as stated before the system trying to fix a transaction that occurred in June 2015 and was not attended to before.

Let us know how you wish to resolve this.
                    Regards,

Thanks guys. The error I saw was: "Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: DUPLICATE_VALUE, duplicate value found: CnP_PaaS__VaultGUID__c duplicates value on record with id: a0id0000003okBS: []"

However the error you reported is tied to a package for inventory management. I think in this instance I'll see if I can modify the package settings to avoid the error.

Nonetheless, what about the error I reported above which shows a duplicate value?

                        Good day!

The duplicate error means the same transaction has been posted more than once. The system will not process a transaction if the same Order Number already exists- this is a safety measure to ensure duplicate transactions are not posted to the system. This only happens if you manually push the transaction to Salesforce that is already in Salesforce.

The maintenance feature will look for the error and will delete all traces of the previous transaction and processes the transaction again. The process assumes that something must be wrong with the initial post and that is why it was pushed again (by mistake). It is quite an intelligent feature since it can recover issues and problems and cleans the system. Of course it won't be able to resolve third party issues such as this which blocks it from clearing the past.

                        Hope that answers the question.

One additonal question....the managed page (C&P Visual Force) which generates the Process payment button (green button). Can it be edited so that the Process Payment button also appears at the top of the screen or at the very least at the top of the block of payment / payee information?

                            Good day!

Not at this time. The current design is not editable for such manipulation.

We will consider this for a future release.
