  • Problems Adding Salesforce Event Management

    Please bear with me as I try to explain problem. I am a new user and am trying to learn the system.

    I am trying to add Salesforce Event Management to our account. Right now the account has 2 users. Both users have System Administrator profile. I am in charge of the Salesforce account for our organization. The other user was given administrator privileges because she has the expertise to set up the system. However, she is currently on vacation.

    I get the following error when trying to add Salesforce Event Management: requires Click and Pledge PAAS Class Library and Click and Pledge Payment as Service. I show both of these apps as being added to our account. Those packages were added by the other user. I don't understand why I am having a problem adding Salesforce Event Management.

    I have granted log-in access to Click & Pledge Support so that if possible, you can find my error.

          I'm sorry. I really am new. Where do I find our Salesforce Organization ID? Is it just the organization name?

              Good day!

              I am a bit confused.

              In your forum profile you have indicated account #: 33092 which is for: Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter Inc and its URL is: http://fosras.com

              But in the company profile account you have listed your website address as: http://www.srasnj.org

              Which one is the correct website address?

              The reason for this question is the Salesforce' site which needs to be set up based on your website's domain. Please clarify.

                There are 2 organizations: Somerset Regional Animal Shelter and Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter. The Friends organization (FOSRAS) is the 501(c)(3) organization which helps support the Animal Shelter financially. I believe the correct domain should be the fosras.com domain since that is the 501(c)(3) organization.

                Should I go in and change the #33092 URL? Will that effect other things?

                    Good day!

                    We have installed all apps and have requested post-installation to be performed. We will complete the post-installation by tomorrow.

                    The reason you could not install the application was because you had the old version and the appExchange version required a newer version for API & PaaS.

                    You may proceed now but the event will not work until we finish the post-installation.

                    We will update this thread once we have completed the post-insatllation.

                        The post-installation is now complete.

                        You should be able to set up events, etc.

                          Thank you for your help. A new problem has developed. After the addition of Event Management and the newer versions of API and PaaS, the contributions to C&P are no longer posted in SalesForce. I made a test $5 contribution. I see it on the C&P page but can't find it in SalesForce. I am guessing a setting somewhere needs tweaking, but I don't know what it is. Please help to correct this so that contributions will appear in SalesForce.
