  • Bug in setting up Swiper1 event access

    I went in to C&P Event Management - Swiper1 Global Access and added a user (which was first created in the Portal and authorized for Swiper1). When I attempt to save, I get an error message saying "Please select at least one checkbox". There is only the one checkbox on the page - and it's not even a required one (it's not starred). I tried to include an image - 840x580 to show you but this is what showed up here:

    Anyway, is this a bug? Or did I do something wrong? Pretty simple form, and the user exists and is active, so I don't know what the issue is.

    Good day @Lew,

    You need to first have an event before you can set up a Swiper1 user. This shows you do not have any events yet defined.

    The Swiper1 user in Event is for checking in & out of attendees of an event. Without an event there is no use fore a user.

      Thanks for your reply. Fair enough. Then, may I suggest you change the error message to say, "You must first have at least one event created before setting Global Access" because the current message is completely misleading.

        Good day!

        I agree.. the message could be confusing. I think the best way to handle this is not to allow for new users to be added if there are no events. If the "NEW" button is clicked an error message should pop-up stating that no events are present so no users may be added.

        We will put this as a change request for release 4.x

          Good day!

          This issue has been addressed now in the latest beta release. The scheduled release date is the week of December 7, 2015.

          In this update you may set up Swiper1 access with global access without any events. This allows you to add your users before defining any event.
