  • Registration Form Fields Grayed Out/Not Live

Hi, I'm trying to set up a new event, but the registration form fields do not appear to be live. Here's what shows up in my Salesforce instance in the form setup:

And there's no form fields in the live site version of the registration page as well. Did I goof and uncheck something maybe?

    Good day!

The image you are showing is for preview and not for activity. It is simply like a display to give you an idea of what the form looks like.

If the fields are not active in your event it means the post-install is not done correctly and fields don't have proper permission. We can review your post-install and fix any issues that we find. Just grant us access and we gladly will review your setting.

    How to grant access: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/showthread.php?t=1065

I don't know if it's useful, but this is what the external registration page looks like right now. So I presume that you're right in that this has something to do with our post-install and field permissions.

              Good day!

We reviewed your installation and performed the following:
              1. Upgraded your instance to the latest instance
              2. You had not done any of the post installation steps so we completed the post installation (see: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Sal...tallation.html) -this is already done and is added for reference.
              3. Reviewed your event and instance and all seem to be working

Please check your instance and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
              Regards,

Thank you! It looks like the form is now working.

One problem though is that once I fill in information to add a registration, the registration form then brings up an "Additional Information" form with all fields required--- which I'd prefer if that didn't even pop up since I don't want to make people enter information twice. Here's what I'm getting:

                  Good day!

In this release the information is asked of the Attendee and the donor. If you believe the same person that makes the payment is the one attending you may want to consider either not asking the same information from the attendee or using the Anonymous registration option.

To change the fields being asked of the attendee please see: Event > Designer > Registration Form > Levels.

Please let us know if you need more info.

Is there any way I can not require the Payee information instead? We want to allow free registration for an event and collect people's emails but don't need to require address or phone information for this. I don't see any way to disable the Payee level or to make those contact fields not required.

                      Good day Maggie,

Not in this release. We are working on making some of the required features optional in the next update. Currently the billing information is required for the Payee.

Next week there will be an update in Event 2.x and the one following 2.3 will be including this feature.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
                      Regards,

Thanks! I was able to go in through Salesforce and make the phone field not required, which was our main concern. So far your suggestions have been very helpful and we were able to send our registration form widely!
