  • URLs not visible, unable to create opportunities and 1.x to 2.x loss of function

    Good Morning,

I'm working on registration for a free event, but I'm running into issues, and I want to ensure none of these issues are caused by missing steps in the post-installation. I can't preview any events and it seems that something is wrong with my sites, but I can't determine how to fix it and I'm not sure if there is something wrong elsewhere as well.

Also I'm trying to create opportunities (because we anticipate donations at the event we're providing free registration for) and map data (from the Registered Attendee object to the Campaign Member object with workflows). The event object I created last year as a 1.x event doesn't seem to have the same functionality in the 2.x environment and I was hoping you could help determine if it's because of issues with post-installation, or something else.

    thank you!

    Good day!

I suspect the issue is with post-installation. If you have followed the post-installation and still have issues I suggest that you grant us access and let us review your instance. We will login and review your permissions and fix it if we find an issue.

Please follow the steps listed here: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/showthread.php?t=1065

Once we have access we will login and let you know what we find out.

      Hello,

Thank you for helping with my post-installation! I can now view my sites. However opportunities are still not being created. Is this a problem with settings for the event?

Opportunities not being created means the attendees are not created as contacts. Are you sure the attendees are not in the Temporary Contact area for attendees?

I think you're referring to Click and Pledge transactions that are created. I'm hoping to create opportunity records that I can later manipulate, like change the amount, change the stage, add a solicitor, etc.

          Is this possible?

I've found what's happening; the opportunities for each attendee is appearing under the payee/registrant, not the attendees I'm creating.

              Good day!

You cannot do this as part of our transactions. The C&P Transactions are processed through our API and naturally are designed to be tracked as such.

If you wish to create other opportunities they cannot be part of a transaction and can be on their own as a Salesforce opportunity.

                Good day!

Opportunity is a Transaction item & since the registrant is the one that is making the payment the opportunity is assigned to the payee (registrant). Attendees show that they are registered for the event but they don't have any opportunities assigned to them.
