  • Can a registrant upload a document?

I would like to allow my registrants/attendees to upload a document pertaining to the event and having it attached to their registration. I don't see a way to do this currently. Do you have a work around suggestion for me?
Thank you again. This forum has been great help as I get started.

    Tami,

The feature is not available and thinking about it I can see a lot of problems with it if done in Salesforce. Salesforce has limited storage and how do you perceive a solution to this problem? If enough documents are uploaded your storage will stop any registration, etc.

Have you considered setting up an email asking people to email the documents to you? Not that this is an elegant solution but I am just thinking how to overcome the limited storage issue.

For us, storage would not be a problem. We facilitate leadership conferences all over the world. When someone decides to host one of our conferences, the coordinator fills out a form to feed us specifics of that particular conference. We then set up a C&P Event for them, creating the registration forms, etc. Their registrant information feed into our SF through C&P so we can aggregate our statistics on continent, country, city and/or by type of conference (we offer several different targeted conferences). I have set up a "never ending", no cost event for the coordinators. It has custom questions for the coordinator to answer regarding their conference. One of the things we need from the coordinator is their local agenda. We need to add that to the registration form for their conference. After their conference registration is closed we could delete their agenda. I could create a task to remind the SF user to do so.
I figured I'd have to ask for the agenda by email, but it is a bit clumsy.
      Thanks for the confirmation.

        Tami,

I am sure you are aware that you can upload a PDF document with each event so the registrants can download. It is just that the registrants cannot upload a file.

        Just thought to mention it.

I will keep that request for addition in the future.
