Team Registration Possible?

Hi, does anyone have any experience using the Event Module with an event like a bike ride, where people can register teams for the event. We are considering the event module and this capacity of team registration would be important to us. Thank you-Jeff

Good day!

Team registration may be done using the event by using a group level. You may easily set a level to have a set number of tickets. The system will ask for their information at the time of registration.

Hi thanks for the reply. When you say "group level" I am not sure what that means, or where that is done. Do you mean when setting up a ticket type? Also, we are anticipating that a Team will not be a fixed number, that is, some teams will have different numbers of participants, is that possible?

Hi Jeff,

If team members are not defined then the events named registration won't work. I guess one can set up an anonymous event where people buy so many tickets and the number they register will be the total they pay for. I am not sure with this scenario how you can get the name of each member since in Salesforce that registration will be complete and one cannot add the names- at least in Release 2.x this can't be done.

Do people pay a single fee and then bring as many people as they want for their team or do they pay per team member?
