    1. I've created an event and plugged the code into my website. I changed the widget width to be 100% but the right side of my event information is being cut off. You can see what I mean here:http://www.fiberartsalliance.org/home/january. My guess is that the registration widget is too wide, but I can't figure out how to see how wide it is much less to modify it.
    2. I've now created a second event but can't view it. I get the following error message: "The Event is Coming Soon! or Temporarily Down." This is working now, so never mind!

    Help please!

    Good day!

    Look at this line: 551

    <iframe src="https://sefaa.secure.force.com/Programs/CnP_PaaS_EVT__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a0 ud0000002CuRU" align="top" height="1650" width=100% frameborder="0"></iframe>&nbsp;</p><p> <a id="099"><iframe src="https://sefaa.secure.force.com/Programs/CnP_PaaS_EVT__EventRegistration_1?event_id=a0ud000 0002CB6g&pagename=Page1_Opening_Page" align="top" height="1350" width=100% frameborder="0"></iframe>

since this is an IFRAME it requires a width and height.

Play with the width and change it in pixels. It seems like the DIV tag you have is a bit out of bound with your design. Statically change the width to a fixed pixel and see if you can get it to work.

Let us know how it goes.

      Good day!

Question #2: Are you sure the event start date is not in the future?

If that is not the cause we need to login and see your settings.

The code you printed out above is for 2 different events, one that was created in the old version of Events and one just created in Events 2.0. Both have width = 100%. The old one works perfectly, the new one cuts off the right side. You can see on our website that the 2.0 Event on the top is cut off on the right and the old one right below it is fine. The only difference in the iframe codes below is the site address.

        2.0 iframe: <iframe src="https://sefaa.secure.force.com/Programs/CnP_PaaS_EVT__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a0 ud0000002CuRU" align="top" height="1650" width=100%frameborder="0"></iframe>

        1.X iframe:
        <iframe src="https://sefaa.secure.force.com/Programs/CnP_PaaS_EVT__EventRegistration_1?event_id=a0ud000 0002CB6g&pagename=Page1_Opening_Page" align="top" height="1350" width=100% frameborder="0"></iframe>

As you suggested, I tried plugging in various px widths but that just made my iframe narrower with the right side still cut off. And, from what I could find in a quick internet search, it is OK to set the width of the iframe to 100% although you do have to set the height in px (I think you can even make the height fluid, but it's above and beyond my technical capabilities.)

I suspect that the problem is that the registration widget is set at 960 px wide and that is governing the display of the entire iframe. Since I can't find the code to the registration widget, though, I can't check that suspicion. Perhaps you could check the widget code or if I can access it, tell me how to do so.

I really like the setup and look of 2.0, but if I can't get the entire width to display, I'll go back to using the old version.

You said that "the DIV tag you have is a bit out of bound with your design". I'm not sure what DIV tag or what out of bound with my design means?

          Good day @SEFAA,

We reviewed your site template and noticed that the reason the right side of your event information is being cut off because you have set the table width fixed to 690px in your site template. Please see screen shot below:

Name:	Table width.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	118.4 KB

You need to change the width to 100% in the iframe code.

Please check and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

You are entirely correct Abdul and you made my day. Thank you very much for figuring out where the problem was and telling me specifically how to fix it. I really appreciate it!

I am getting the same error for another event I just created. The event start date is in the future (as it should be) but the event published date and the event level registration start dates are not. Is there some sort of lag time between when you create an event and when you can view it?

                Good day!

                No- there is no lag.

Do we have access to your account to review?

                    Good day @SEFAA,

We are NOT following the old method to login into client’s instance. However, we don't keep a database of these as it becomes a security issue. All information is purged after the case has been resolved.

Would you please grant us login access to your salesforce account by following the steps listed in the following KB article: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/showthread.php?t=1037

Please post the Organization ID here so we can locate your account.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

                    Thanks,

OK, I granted you login access and our org ID is: 00Dd0000000g4vg

The event I just created was the Mandala Stitching Workshop. I just checked and I can now view the event. But, I couldn't view it yesterday after I created it. And, I've had the same problem for various lengths of time with all of three events I've created in 2.0 - Mandala Stitching, Paper-Cut-Project Lecture, and Taste of Silk Painting. At a minimum, it's been several hours between when I created an event and when I could view it.

On another note, is it possible to disable the registration timeout? I understand why it is there, but we don't really need it.

                        Good day @SAFAA,

There is NO such condition for viewing the site after creation. If the date and time is valid per you site, instance (see “Set Time Zone” in the link below) and system (PC) time zone you can view it on the same time, for an example I have created one test event in your instance and I can view it without any issues.

However, it is mandatory to fix the registration timeout for the page, we have implemented this feature in 2.x because since it is an live site there will be certain time for the page which get expired, for example if you have to walk away or take a call your page may have timed out which results when you submit the form it won't submit and it simple refresh the page. You can set Max time limit for the page to 999 minutes.

Hope that makes sense. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

                        Thanks,

ID:	15331 You should be able to view your site after creation by clicking on the VIEW hyperlink on the Basic Information page for the event. However, when I create an event and try to view it either using the link on the Basic Information page or once the iframe code is placed in our website, I get an error message that says "This event is coming soon ..." And, I just checked and we have the same 'Time Zone' and 'Locale' in Salesforce 'Personal Information' section and Salesforce 'Site User' section.

However, it seems to be a moot point, since it worked for you and I just created a 4th event and it also worked for me - no error message and I can see my event. Whatever wasn't working right away now seems to be doing so. Hopefully, it will continue to do so

Thanks for the info about registration time out. I will use 999 to set the timer as long as possible since it can't be disabled.

                            Good day!

Please be careful with putting 999 as the timeout. If your event has inventory someone putting a large number in the quantity field will remove the quantity from your inventory for 999 seconds - 16+ hours.
