  • 2.0 Questions

    Has the manual been updated for release 2.0? If it has, I haven't been able to find it and have several questions.

    • Does the Messages section have to be redone for each new event or is there a way to clone it once you've got it the way you want it? Or, if I change it for the event I'm working on now does it stay changed for subsequent events?
    • I've been working on a new event called Taste of Silk Painting. My publish date is today and the event is January 15th and I have created 2 registration levels, but I get a "Please Create a Registration Level First/Date Timeout!" error message when I try to view my page.

    Good day!

    In release 2.0 the Question section may be done for one level and you can copy it from one level to another level in the same event. Of course an event may be cloned and that will replicate the Questions as well.

    As for your error that is related to permissions - please follow the permissions in the post-installation. Have you followed the post installation for release 2.0? A number of new fields are added so permission needs to be set for those accordingly. Please see: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Sal...tallation.html

      You're right. I missed one set of permissions and can see my event now that that has been corrected.

      How do you clone an event in the new version?

      I wasn't worried about questions, but about Messages (third tab when you click the plus sign next to any event.) Does this section have to be redone for each new event or if I change it for the event I'm working on now, does it stay changed for subsequent events.

        Good day!

        For each event those messages need to be typed again-- I understand this is a bit cumbersome.

        We will add all these in the upcoming Settings for event which did not make it for 2.x release. We will have this updated in 3.0 in March.

        Our goal is to release interim releases with minor features before 3.x release. You may be able to use it before March.

          Thanks. It's nice to know that it will be easier to manage messages in the near future.

          Now, at the risk of asking too many questions, I have one more. I've created and event and plugged the code into my website. I changed the widget width to be 100% but the right side of my event information is being cut off. You can see what I mean here: http://www.fiberartsalliance.org/home/january. My guess is that the registration widget is too wide, but I can't figure out how to see how wide it is much less to modify it. Can you help?
