Never mind my last post. The C&P Event Management is not set up as a tab so I needed to just find it.

    Nina:

We just upgraded our Events and do not see the new interface either. Did you finally get to see the new interface? What finally did the trick for you? Thanks for your help. I would start a new question, but figured since you had the same issue I would start here.

    Thanks
    Hellen

Awesome. Thanks. Well, by the time I get through the post installation you guys might be offline. Would it be quicker if you guys get in there? You still have access to my Salesforce.

    Nina,

Event 2.x has more permission sets and if you are getting the error it means you have not followed the post installation steps. More fields need to be given permission to for the anonymous user.

    Here is the post-install: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Sal...tallation.html

If you can't figure out which permission is not set right give us access and we will review it for you.

If I use the iframe code from the new system it gives me a Authorization required error when I view the event. The original iFrame code works the same as it used to except the bug with the info bubble not closing is still there. I walked through the new webinar in creating a new event. Both iframe codes were embedded in the same page. The old event worked and the new one had the authentication error. Do both systems use the same site? Is there something I'm missing?

    Thanks for the help.

    Nina,

All should work - just add the custom questions again in the new system.

We just had the office hours for today and recorded a complete event creation during the office hours. We will distribute the video next week.

Thanks. I only have 1 live event. It was suggested that we implement the new platform when there are no live events to avoid any issues. Although the live events shows up under the new install. Just to test it I put the new iframe code on my website and there was a Authorization required error. Can you direct me to the easiest way to make an active event work in the new interface? If not, do you suggest I re create it in under the new interface?

Thanks! Looking forward to the new system!

    Hi Nina,

The version 1.x interface is still there for backward compatibility. Events that are still in 1.x may be managed without any interruption.

Please go to the Event Management tab and you will see the new interface.

I did the upgrade from the app exchange and my SFD settings say I am upgraded to version 2.10. My interface hasn't changed at all though. The webinar shows a totally different look. I tested the info popup bug from the earlier version that was being fixed in the new version and it isn't fixed so I'm assuming there is more I need to do to activate this new version? I read through the post installation instructions from the link in this post. Those look like instructions for a new installation and not an upgrade. Those instructions have already been done in previous versions. I've never had to redo them for an upgrade. (FYI I installed the library, the paas and then the events in that order)

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Hi;

When we say upgrade we mean do NOT uninstall - simply install the new version and Salesforce will upgrade the existing version.

    Hope that helps.

When you say "upgrade" you mean "Install" ?

I do not see an "upgrade" option.

    Thanks

    Good day!

Simply upgrade to release 2.0 and it should work. Please note:

    - Events that are defined in release 1.0 may be used in 2.0 format but you have to define the custom questions again. Questions have a different format in 2.0 version so they need to be entered again.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    On my question 2:

    2. How do we "upgrade" to that version if we already have Event Management installed ?

Do I first "uninstall" Version 1.0 from Salesforce, or just install the 2.0 "on top" of 1.0 ?

    Please advise.
