  • Error Msg During Registration

    Was testing out our registration page and everything was working smoothly. Added a few custom question sections and custom fields and now am receiving this error message after entering the attendee details:

    "j_id0:j_id3:j_id4:j_id25:j_id97:j_id99:7:j_id101: j_id112: Validation Error: Value is not valid"

    Help?

    I think you have a validation rule on one of your fields that the event cannot work with. We have seen people add validation rules on a field and naturally the event form has no knowledge of. Salesforce does not expose the validation rules you have set up as custom rules. When event wants to save the record Salesforce returns an error and blocks event from doing so.

    The error is telling you clearly what is wrong: Validation error

    Do you have a validation rules for that field?

      Thank you for the quick reply. I don't think it had anything to do with validation rules on our setup because I simply removed the custom questions I created and it suddenly worked. Thanks again for the quick response and support.

        Good day Richard,

        Please grant us access and set up the form as you had before so can review your setting. Naturally there is a reason for this and we know it all works since others are using it with custom questions.

        Once we have access we will review your setting.

          The custom questions weren't vital so I just removed them. However, now I'm receiving an error that my Coupon Code is invalid. I've checked numerous times and have altered the settings of the discount plan with no success. I assume Coupon Codes work even if the event status is set to "test", right? Please advise.

            Good day!

            Yes- coupon codes work in Test mode.

            The coupon code condition applies to the level and all conditions have to be satsfied.

            Please grant us access to your account so we can review what you have done. I am sure it is something easy that is overlooked.

                      Good day Richard,

                      This is the strangest behavior I have seen with Salesforce grant access login. We don't have this problem with any other account but with your account when we try to view your account Salesforce times out and does not show the page. See the image below. We had the same issue yesterday and simply can't login.

                      We have submitted a support ticket to Salesforce so they can check the issue .. at this time we can't login.

                          Sorry for such a delay in getting back to you. We finally heard from Salesforce & they stated that our issue not being able to access your account is a known bug with Salesforce - see: https://success.salesforce.com/issue...0000000SSmgAAG

                          So we are back to manual login.

                          Would you please set up an ADMIN user with the following UserID & Email: [email protected]

                          Once we have the password reset email we will login and review your account.

                              Good day @Richardmfailla:

                              We have tested this instance and are testing it more. The error you are referring to occurs based on invalid symbols being used in the answer field.

                              Are you using any symbols other than texts? The error is Salesforce returning error based on its validation rules and we can't duplicate it.
