First, that was not a field on my event page for some reason. We only had the C&P Event Registered Attendees field on the page layout. When I figured that I was looking at the wrong field, I added it to the page, however, when I click on the "New C&P Event Registrant button, I get the following:
Thanks for your help. We really need to get this working ASAP...we have classes starting tomorrow and I don't have complete registration information!

Good day @smoadmin:
If you wish to capture the information as part of an event set up with the Salesforce Event app then you need to use the Manual Registration (Box Office).
Using Custom Payment Type in the manual registration you can do exactly what you wish to do.
Please try it and let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

Yes, but will that transaction be captured in the C&P Event Registered Attendees area of the event campaign?

Good day @smoadmin:
Based on what you are stating you are asking how you could add the "Cash" into Salesforce for those transactions that have used cash for payment.
It is easy!
Just go to the virtual terminal in Salesforce and choose "Additional Payment" for the payment method. Enter "Cash" in the text area provided for method of payment.
If you use Cash or other methods regularly you may add those methods in the C&P Settings > Virtual Terminal setting so they show up as a pull down menu in the virtual terminal. Using the default items will save time with typing the payment types each time.
Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Manually adding a registrant
We set up several classes and workshops so we could accept credit/debit card payments. We also collected cash from a recent registration event. What is the best way to put these registrants into the system? Thanks in advance!
