  • Upgrading from 1.86

    Hello,

    We are still running version 1.86 of the Events Management app. I'd like to know if I can upgrade straight to the latest version (which I believe is 1.2014) or if I have to do the intermediary step of upgrading to 1.99 (I see the special thread relating to upgrading from 1.99 to 1.10 but I don't see anything about 1.2014).

    Can you please advise what the proper steps are I should take to upgrade to the most current version? (also, please note that we are running 6.9 of Payment as a Service - please let me know if an upgrade is required there as well)

    Good day @Deborah:

    You need to upgrade the PaaS as well as Event - the Event application requires the latest Payment application as well.

    The upgrade requires post-installation that needs to be performed before an event may be taken live. If you wish we can help with your post-installation. Let us know and we can upgrade your instance.

          Issue with upgrade

          Hello,

          It appears that something has been affected in our instance of Salesforce since you performed the upgrade for us over the weekend. Now whenever new records are created (new Accounts, new contacts), the record type is set to C&P Online. I don't think this is correct, and it seems to be causing some issues.

          One issue is that we typically designate a "Type" for accounts which is either business, agency, nonprofit, individual, etc.
          For new records with a record type of C&P Online, it's not letting me modify the Account Type (it's grayed out). Please see the screenshot below of the newly created records showing the record type.

            NOTE: I removed the image you had posted since it included your patron's names & addresses. Please be careful when you include images with personal information in a public forum. Thank you.

            You were upgraded from 6.9 of PaaS to 7.4. In 6.x there were no Record Type settings.

            In 7.4x we provide flexibility with customizing the Record Type based on SKU and as such we assign "C&P Online" as the default Record Type if no default has been set in the Profile.

            Please follow the steps listed below to set the Default Record Type:

            To set the Active Record Type please follow the path listed below:
            Name > Setup > App Setup > Customize > Accounts > Record Types

            Set the default at:
            Name > Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users> Profiles> Profile Name > Record Type Settings

              Hello,

              Thanks for editing my image... I'll be more aware of that moving forward.

              I'm still confused about this issue. I've checked the default record type here (Name > Setup > Administration Setup > Manage Users> Profiles> Profile Name > Record Type Settings) and it's set to "--Master--"

              I've followed your instructions to set the Active Record type and have reactivated the "Individual" option.

              I still however have Accounts w/ the C&P Online record type and need to know how to change their type so I can edit them appropriately. Can you please point me to where I can change the record type for individual records?

                Hello, I'm still waiting for a response here. I followed your instructions (per my last note) but my converted leads are still showing up as C&P Online record types. I need to fix this as this should not be the default record type.
