  • Upgrading from 1.99 to 1.1000

    I am trying to follow the upgrade steps but am stuck at Step 1: Custom Field Level Security. I can get to the Custom Field Level Security page, but when I view the C&P Event, C&P Event Registrant and the C&P Registration Level pages to make the required fields visible, they aren't there and I can't "make visible for the following fields at respective objects." Then, the following image in the update instructions makes it look like I need to create/update those fields instead of just making them visible?

    Please clarify what I need to do in Step 1 and how, exactly, I need to do it.

    Good day @SEFAA,

    It is hard to remotely debug your issue. Would you please grant us access and we will login and fix it for you. I will also send you screen shots of what we have done so you know what you were missing.

    Let me know when we have login access so I can set it for review.

      Actually, ClickandPledge is already set up as a user with System Admin. privileges. Do I need to do anything else?

        Sorry but we don't keep record of the userid's once an issue has been resolved. We have tried to login to your account but can't see your organization ID in the list of accounts we have access to.

          Good day!

          Our support department just finished review of your account and has responded to you. Here is the result of our finding:

          After looking into this issue, it appears you are doing the post install instructions before the update.

          You have to do the update then follow the instructions and all of the options under custom field level security will be there.

          Also please note you have to install the Class Library first, then install the Click & Pledge Payment-as-a-Service update and the Click & Pledge Events last.


          Please let me know if you run into any issues during the install.

            Navigation Instructions to Public Access Settings incorrect in C&P manual

            I would like to add that your instructions for Step 1 (at http://manual.clickandpledge.com/1-99-To-1-1000.html) directed people to "Setup >. App Setup >. Sites > Click on Site Label > Public Access Settings > Field-Level Security [Custom Field-Level Security]", and I think this is now outdated?

            I followed this path: Setup > Develop > Sites > Click on Site Label > Public Access Settings > Field-Level Security [Custom Field-Level Security]

              Hi Tracey,

              Thank you for pointing this out. I have forwarded this to our training department to review & correct.

              Salesforce changes cause a lot of changes in our manual and at times we miss the update. We will attend to this immediately.

                I reviewed the manual and I think we needed to add one other item - not sure if your link is correct. See image below:

                I think the "Develop" text was missing.
