Thanks CnP Support!
The latest release looks good. I think we'll start using it for the rest of our 2013 events after we revamp our website.

Good day @pch_media,
We just released Event 1.2003 which includes the payment options as provided in the Virtual Terminal and NOT the options offered in the event. This gives you more flexibility as requested.
Release notes: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/content.php?r=405-Notification-for-Temporary-Contact-Creation
Please note that you you need to upgrade to the latest Payment application 7.4013 prior to upgrade. The releases are not yet announced since we are still working on the manuals.
Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Good day Nina,
Yes that is correct. The feature will follow the payment types listed in the Virtual Terminal and not the event. This will give you more flexibility.
The release is scheduled for tomorrow if nothing goes wrong with testing with today's beta testing release.
PaaS 7.4 will also be released with relationships.

Is there a new release date for the Event Management app 1.2xxx? Just to clarify, we will be able to register someone for the event manually from within Salesforce and will be able to choose any type of Custom Payment Type (ie Cash or Check)? And the Custom Payment Type will not be visible through the website registration form? I'm really looking forward to this update.

Good day @pch_media,
To address your concern we are making a change in the manual registration where the payment types shown will follow the Virtual Terminal settings and NOT the payments accepted for the event.
This setting allows for offering all payment types as customized in the Virtual Terminal for event manual registration therefore addressing the shortcoming you are experiencing.
Release 1.2xxx is currently scheduled before the end of the month (June 2013).

Yes, we are aware of manual registration. We are using the most recent release. Please read my initial message because I think I cannot explain our situation any clearer.

Good day
What version are you using?
Are you aware of manual registration?

You answered my question unintentionally. Please read what I have done and use the conclusion as a suggestion for a future release.
I added Custom Payment Type to the event.
I set the Custom Payment name to "Internal Office Use Only."
I used the online registration form in Active mode, going through the user's experience. I wanted to see if the Custom Payment Type was visible to the general public. Since it is, this will not satisfy our needs.
The current setup is not ideal for our situation. We don't have all payments coming through Click and Pledge. Therefore, we want to select payment types per level. This would enable INTERNAL STAFF ONLY to input anyone, under any registration level, as having paid, using the Custom Payment Type. We do not want the Custom Payment Type visible to the general public.
If we can help influence future releases by sharing more specifics about our event, please feel free to contact us.
Thanks.

Good day
Payment methods are set for event and not for level.
Create a level and set the mode to Manual. You should be able to go to the manual registration and register manually using all payment method.
Try it

Thank you for your answer. One clarification: I currently have only credit card payment options selected in the event's settings. When I select "Custom Payment Type" in the event's settings, will that automatically add the option to all levels?
(I do not see a place to select specific method of payment for the levels themselves.)

Good day @pch_media,
The manual registration for event shows all payment types regardless of your selection for the level.
You should do exactly as you described. Set up a level and set it to Manual as mode. Then if you go to the manual registration you should see that level in addition to all the other levels. In the registration form you will NOT see the level that is set to manual so it serves exactly as you want. In the manual registration you will see all payment methods whereas in the public form you will see only those that you have selected.
I hope that answers the question.

Sorry, I think you are misunderstanding. We have our entire event in the Active Mode, but I am asking this:
If we create an individual level with its level Mode as Manual, and use the Custom Payment Type for only that level...
can we -- at the same time -- hide a Custom Payment Type from those registrants who are registering themselves online for other (non-Manual) levels?

Good day @pch_media,
Manual mode offers the level only with the Manual registration and all payment types are available with the manual
What you are describing should work as designed.

Custom Payment Type ONLY in Manual Level?
Hello!
We just launched registration for our major event. We have several different levels, some available for public use, and others manual input only. We prefer that persons registering online pay only using a credit card. However, we also accept checks through the mail or cash prior to the event, etc.
Is there a way for us to create a level, for example, called "Individual Cash Check" on Manual Mode, and allow the Custom Payment Type "PAID" for only that Level? (We do not want online registrants to be able to select that Custom Payment Type.)
If not, might you suggest another solution, based on other customers' experience?
Thank you!Tags: None
