  • "Contact" not updating in Registered Attendees

    Hello -
    We have the most current version of Salesforce Event Management.

    As seen in the attached image, we have a problem: After C&P Temporary Contacts are matched with an existing Contact record, the Contact field is updated in "C&P Event Registrants" but not in "C&P Event Registered Attendees." Is the Temporary Contact being created only for Registrants? Why?

    Good day!

    Temporary contacts for Registrants are created with for the person that is making the payment and is part of C&P Contacts.

    Temporary contacts for Attendees is in a different tab - have you clicked on "Manage Temporary Contacts" in the image you have sent?

    If you look right above the names you highlighted you will see a button titled: "Manage Temporary Contacts" - that is for Attendees. Attendee temporary contacts is not in the same place as the registrants.

    Please let us know if you have tried that button and if you are not seeing the attendees there.

      Thank you very much! We do see the Temporary Contacts there. Thank you for clarifying this.
      Should this update the Attendee's Contact record with updated Phone/Address/etc? (We do not see this happening.)

        Good day!

        Glad to see it is working.

        Remember that Click & Pledge does NOT update any records for security reasons. We simply add an Alias for the new information entered.

        Let's think about the consequences of updating an attendee information:

        The registration form does not have a login page so the person that is making the payment or is registering an attendee could be anyone and if the information they enter is bogus you definitely don't want that information to update the main contact information- hope that makes sense.

        For security we don't update any information- we simply create an ALIAS and save the new information in the Alias. You may update the contact records by pushing the Alias to the main Contact by simply clicking on the Alias as shown below:
