  • Missing Data in Attendee Report

    We have an active event registration happening now... the event is called "DTQ-SFemp-2013" One of our registrants registered 5 attendees and paid for all 5. I can see their "Attendee Names" in the C&P Event window inside Salesforce, however the "Contact Names" are all blank (I'd like to attach a screenshot but per my other forum thread I am unable to do so).

    Similarly when I download the Attendee Report, all of the rows for these 5 attendees contain blank contact first name, last name, and email (I'd like to attach my excel file but per my other forum thread I am unable to do so).

    This is a serious problem. How can we fix this? As it currently stands, I am unable to retrieve the email addresses for any of these 5 people. I need this fixed as soon as possible.

    Please help!

    Adding my attachments

    I figured out how to free up my attachment space and have thus loaded the attachments for you to see what's not working. Two files attached:
    1. screen shot of Attendee Report (see blank fields highlighted in yellow)
    2. screen shot of "C&P Event Registered Attendees" inside Salesforce (see blank contact contact fields)

    It's critically important that we get this resolved as soon as possible, since this is an active event registration happening now.

      Good day!

      It seems your contact creation mode is not set to Fully Automatic Contact Creation. In this case your attendees are in the Temporary Contact for Event. If the Contacts are under Temporary Contacts, it won’t show you the Contacts in “C&P Event registered Attendees” and the First name, last Name, Email details in Attendee Reports.

      To get all the details you need to process your Contacts from Temporary Contacts to Contacts. For this process please follow below steps…

      >> C&P Event Registered Attendees >> Click on Manage Temporary Contacts button

      Click on your Contact.

      Under Settings you can choose to create a new Contact, select from Lookup, or choose from list of existing Contacts that share the same last name or email address then click 'Process' button.

      Now you can find Contacts in C&P Event Registered Attendees and also you can find all the details in Attendee Reports.

        Hello,

        There is no "Manage Temporary Contacts" button on our site. Please see the screenshot I attached earlier.

        I only see "C&P Event Registered Attendees" on the left top, and "C&P Event Registered Attendees Help ?" on the top right.

        Please advise.

          The post installation shows you how to add it. Once added the button shown below shows up for Registered Attendees & Payees. It is all explained in the manual and post-installation.

          PLEASE make sure to follow all 8 steps. We have seen people follow a few steps and then wonder why it is not yet working. There are 8 steps and they all need to be set up.

            No temporary contacts listed

            Hello,

            I have followed the instructions and now have the "Manage Temporary Contacts" button available. When I click on it however there are no contacts listed for conversion.

            See attached screenshot.

              Good day!

              Please set up a new user so we can login to your account & review your settings. There is either an error when a contact is being created or the contact is in the Temp Contact.

              Once we review the setting we can tell you what is going on.

                  first issue seems fixed but still missing data for Pending Registrations

                  Hello,

                  It looks like you guys have resolved the issue. I now see the data both in the Registered Attendees view inside Salesforce and also in the Attendee Report. Thank you!

                  There is one remaining issue though, and this relates to incomplete registrations. Those who navigate through the first few screens filling out their attendee information, but who don't complete payment. I thought I issued a ticket about this earlier but now I can't find it. When someone does this, they are listed in the Registered Attendees view as "Pending" but the contact name is blank and their email address doesn't appear to be recorded anywhere, despite the fact that it is a required field. (see attached)

                  The problem this poses, is that I am unable to contact this person (by email) to assist them with the incomplete registration. Is there any way to address this issue? The principal problem is the failure to capture (or at least for me to retrieve) their email address, as entered on the Attendee Info page.

                    Good day!

                    We fixed the issue you were having and discovered a change that we have to make in the next release. Currently we are not blocking single quotes in the name and are not adjusting our post to handle it. The issue you had was with the name O'Conner which has a single quote. One of developers manually added that attendee to the registered list. When a single name has an issue the entire order fails to complete. We will be addressing this issue in the release due out on April 18.

                    Pending transactions do not create Contacts if the contact does not yet exist but you can see the details for the attendee if you click on the attendee details as shown below:

                      Hi,

                      Great news about the single quote discovery. Glad to have helped you find that bug.

                      Regarding the pending transactions, I am aware that I can see the attendee details if I drill down on the Attendee Detail, but for some reason the EMAIL ADDRESS is not listed there. Please advise as I really need to be able to capture/retrieve these email addresses.

                          The issue with single quote will be added to the next release, due out on April 15.

                          We reviewed your account & the email addresses are there.

                          Attendee Detail page >> Contact Data field

                          I am not sure why you think the email is not there.
