• need to delete my previously uploaded attachments

Hello,

I have apparently maxed out my available space with previously uploaded attachments to tickets and am now unable to upload any additional attachments.

Can you please clear out my historical files (or tell me how to delete them) so I can upload reference files moving forward?

Thanks,
Deborah

Good day Deborah,

Would you please let me know what attachments are you referring to? Our events does not have tickets at this time and the only attachment in event module is for the Download for each layout. Another place you can upload a file is in autoresponder.

I am not sure which attachment you are referring to.

I am talking about the ability to add attachments to forum threads/posts to help illustrate the issue about which I am asking for help.

The forums upload manager maxes out at 500k and my previous attachments to earlier support requests have maxed this out.

Can you please delete them or tell me how to do it?
Thanks.

Good day!

I researched this and there is no "total" limit per user. The only limitation we have is the file size that may be uploaded in a single instance. No file greater than 500kB may be uploaded. Images need to be optimized and be smaller than 500kB which is quite a lot for an image.

What error are you seeing from the forum when you try to upload an image?

Hello, I believe you are mistaken. When I click on the manage attachments button at the bottom of a new forum thread, a small window opens (I would attach a screenshot of it but I can't).

The top left of the window says "File Upload Manager - manage all files that you have uploaded".
The top right of the window says "479.5 KB of 488.3 KB Used".

In the main window I see five files that I've uploaded in relation to past forum threads, and these are the files that comprise my 479.5 KB of used space.
When I try to upload new attachments, it won't let me. I get the following error message:

The following errors occurred:
2013-03-27_13-51-25.jpg: Exceeds your quota by 65.4 KB. Click here to view your attachments

I really need to be able to load attachments in relation to ongoing forum threads and I don't see any way to delete the existing files that are utilizing all my space. Can you please just clear them out for me?

Or tell me how to delete them?

Thanks.

I figured out how to delete existing attachments

For future reference, users need to go to their profile. In the left hand sidebar under "My Settings" is an option for "Attachments". Here's where the previous attachments can be deleted.

Thank you for pointing this out.

We are researching this with VBulletin (the Forum software we are using here) to figure out how to remove this restriction from our users. We will have an update in this thread once we find a solution.
