Adding fields to the Event Contact field

I am trying to add a field to the Event Contact fields but it is not in the list of mapping fields which come from the contact information.

How can I add the account/affiliation to this list. Since we cannot list this is fills with the person's name again.

Is the field you are mapping a TEXT field? We only match against the text fields.

Yes it is a text field, but the list that shows is all part of the Contact information, not the Account information

Your email was a bit confusing but finally one of our developers figured out what you are saying. Are you trying to map a text into the Account field in the Contact?

Account field is not a text field but a lookup field. We can't put a text in the Account field.

In different places in SalesForce the field is called different things. It is also called Company. And it is a look up field.

I thought so. Lookup fields appear as text but the value stored is the ID of the selected account not the text.

You can't do what you are trying to do with the existing field matching.
