Setting up a free event

Are there instructions on how to set up a free event. The system requires you to choose a payment method? If you choose Custom payment and say Free event it still takes you to a process payment button?

Free event is an event that its price for the level is $0.

At the time of checkout if the balance in the basket is $0 then no payment method will be shown.

So in the event - Select Payment Options - what do you choose?

Select anything you want since it makes no difference.

Free event will NOT show any payment option.

Please note that at times people have levels that are not free and levels that are free, e.g. Students attend for free. So the system is not making any assumptions.

An event is setup with payment methods and levels have price associated with them. If the total basket at checkout is $0 then no payment method will be offered.

It still seems a little confusing as the button on the bottom of the payment page still says process payment?

Charlaine,

The button text is up to you and you may customize it any way you want.

Each layout page has a field for Button Text. Call it whatever you want but the person has to click it to register so you may want to call it: Click & Register

I too am having issues with this as well. 1 registration level, set to $0. Still showing payment options. Am I missing something?
