  • Adding to Field Map picklist options to Custom Mapping Settings

    Good morning,

I'm wondering if it is possible, and if so, how, to add to the Field Map picklists within the Custom Mapping Settings (both questions and answers)? Or are the available options in the picklist all that are allowed by Salesforce?

    Thank you,
    Lindsay

    Lindsay,

In this release we don't support pick-lists. In release 7.0 we will allow for text box and multi-line text box but we have not yet added the pick-list.

I'm not sure if we are talking aout the same thing? There is a picklist now, with values, for example, as seen in the attached. Is it possible to add to the existing Field Map values in this picklist?

        Lindsay,

We are talking about the same thing. I elaborate:

The fields you are seeing in that list are the fields that have a field property of String. We only show text fields. We do not show fields that are pick-list or any other format.

In release 7.0 we are adding multi-line text boxes to the list as well and in the future we are adding fields that are pick-list. Currently only the fields that are STRING (text) are shown.

        Hope that helps.

That does help, thank you for clarifying.

          Looking forward to 7.0!
