  • Autoresponder based on Tracker or Opportunity Name?

Currently we have our donation page to allow donors to designate which project their donation is going to. This is accomplished with trackers. The tracker for the project appears in the C&P transaction info on salesforce and it names the opportunity name.

Is there a way to set an autoresponder based on either of these two fields? I would like to send a different thank you for each different project.

    Good day!

Autoresponder uses either campaign or SKU's.

I strongly suggest that you start using SKU's for each item in the form. SKU's will give you a lot of unique abilities that Tracker won't. Tracker is per transaction whereas the SKU is per item.

Using SKU you will be able to use the Autoresponder for each item in the basket. For example if someone pays for a specific fund will get a different email than if someone pays for a different fund. Imagine that you have a building fund and a scholarship fund. The building fund will send an email with the picture of the building whereas the scholarship fund sends a different email with content specific to that fund.

    Hope that helps.

I understand and appreciate the reply, perhaps sometime in the next year, we can hire our developer again to have our donation processing work this way (it obviously sounds more like what we need)

but in the mean time is there any way to send an autoresponder based off the tracker or opportunity name?

        Good day!

Not based on opportunity name but you can do it based on Campaign. Have you considered using campaigns?

Opportunity names is too generic in our system.

You may also use the WID. Are you using native forms or any of our checkout pages?
