Hello. I am testing Virtual Terminal and trying to post a test transaction using 4111111111111111 as the credit card number but it keeps getting declined. How can I post a test transaction in VT?

What account are you testing this in?
You have a TEST account with Click & Pledge and that account is set to work with 4111 card numbers in LIVE mode. Let me explain this in detail:
There are 2 modes of operation: Test & Production (live)
Test mode: Accounts using the merchant account cannot process 4111 card number in Production mode. They have to be put in Test mode to work with the 4111 card number.
Production mode: In this mode 4111 card fails since only the real credit cards will work.
Salesforce Virtual Terminal is always in production mode and cannot process 4111 card with "real" accounts.
The Test account we setup for our partners for development can process 4111 card numbers in Salesforce and will not able to process real cards since it is not connected to a merchant account.
Are you using your partner account for this test or a client's account?
Your Partner account should work and your client's account will NOT work with 4111 card since Salesforce VT is always in Production mode.Regards,

I am using a production C&P account. I notice that using the API, we can submit test transactions into a production account. I'm told that a later version of Salesforce PaaS will allow the Virtual Terminal to submit test transactions through a production C&P account.
