  • Virtual Terminal- Receipts and Indefinite Payments

    Questions regarding Virtual Terminal:

    1. Autoresponder - So far, we've used the Autoresponder to set up autoresponses for donations made on our website. This post suggests that autoresponder can also work with Virtual Terminal. Do I just delete the scenario items (WID, SKU, etc.) to get a Virtual Terminal Scenario to work?

    2. Indefinite Payments - the C&P Account Admin Virtual Terminal includes an option to do indefinite recurring payments, but the SF Virtual Terminal does not. Is there a custom way to tell the SF Virtual Terminal to make a payment indefinite (so we can set it up there)? For instance, putting 1/1/1111 in the end date or something? Or do we have to use the C&P Admin for now when creating indefinite payments?

    thanks, Amanda

    Hi Amanda,

    Replies to your questions:

REPLY: the only thing you need to change is to remove the WID since WID does not apply to VT. SKU can still be used since the VT allows for addition of SKU for each transaction.

REPLY: Indefinite transactions are when the period is equal to 999. In the payment pages and VT we simply set it to 999 when indefinite is selected. In Release 7.0 we are adding indefinite as an option so you don't have to remember 999. Right now simply add 999 for the number of intervals and all will work.

Please let us know if we can be of more assistance.
