Person Accounts with C&P

My organization is installing C&P. My understanding was that C&P supports Person Accounts. I started following the post-installation steps in the online manual, but all of the information seems to involve either bucket or NPSP's 1-to-1 account-contact model. I have not seen any discussion of person accounts in the manual or on the forum. Does C&P work with Person Accounts? If so, where would I find the information?

Good day Peter,

Our Salesforce module does not support Person's accounts at this time. It is scheduled to be released with version 7 towards the end of January.

The module has been completely developed but it did not quite make it to release 6.0 which is due out on January 7, 2013. Version 7.0 will support Person & Business accounts as part of the Person Account update.

Is the end-of-January release date reasonably certain? C&P will not be usable by us without that capability.

Yes- the feature almost made it to the 6.0 release but we had to pull it off since we did not want to delay the release. The testing is not yet complete.

This feature is being added for a few (3 as of now) requests. Person accounts is not used by many organizations and we only decided to add it since no other app supports the account type.
