  • Autoresponder status is Failed

Is there any other information that can be accessed as to why the send failed? All of the sudden, our autoresponder sends are failing. Thanks.

    Good day @jhobbs

Anytime I hear "all of the sudden" .. I think something naturally must have changed.

Our experience shows that when something stops happening, it typically is a user that was disabled and it happens that the user was the one that the "job" is assigned to. Have you, by any chance, disabled a user?

Salesforce starts jobs using the user that has set it up.

    It is worth a check.

If you grant us login access we can review the issue and help you resolve it. It helps if you tell us the Autoresponder that is failing and what order # was supposed to trigger it and did not.

Looks like sending through the google smtp server account we have been using is no longer working. We have not made any changes (I don't believe so at least). Is there any reason on the C&P end why that config would have stopped working? Thanks.

I've confirmed with google that our smtp settings are correct.

The error we're getting on the C&P Salesforce App SMPT config page is: SMTP connection failed. Please verify the information and try again.
Can you see specifically what the issue is ? Access is granted.

                Good day @jhobbs

We reviewed and identified the issue. There is a change in the integration of Gmail as SMTP. Previously, we can set up SMTP using a Gmail password but with a new change in google, you will need to use an app password. To generate the app password, you will need to login to your google account > Security > turn on 2-step verification so that the App Passwords will appear > here you will need to select other and name it SMTP and generate the 16-digit password. The same 16-digit password is used in the C&P Settings > SMTP, Gmail login details.
