  • Emails sent via Salesforce C&P Designer are going to spam in Outlook

    Hello,

Consistently all emails sent via the Salesforce "C&P Designer" are going to spam in Outlook. We ensured our SPF and DKIM records are set up correctly to include Salesforce and Click & Pledge but the issue continues. The email address the emails come from when I send a test email to myself is: [email protected]

Does that look right? Any ideas appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Forest

    Forest,

I checked your domain's SPF record. It does NOT have the phrase include:_custspf.clickandpledge.c‌c . Please add it.
I would also recommend collapsing all of the IP addresses in your record to it's own list (e.g a TXT/SPF record for _spf.asyousow.org)...though this isn't required, unless adding the above makes the SPF record too long.
I also recommend that you change your receipt "Reply-to" and "From" addresses to [email protected] .... they are currently [email protected]

Hopefully this helps. Let us know if you have any other problems

      Thank you for your help!

Do we need to add include:_custspf.clickandpledge.cc to our records if we already added all the ipv4 addresses associated with that record? The addresses in our record are [ ipv4:208.117.50.171, ipv4:50.31.44.75, ipv4:192.254.123.144, ipv4:192.254.126.246, ipv4:69.72.47.212 ]

      Thanks!

        Forest,

Using IP addresses to refer to our servers can be a problem since we can change our email server IPs at any time.
Please remove the IP references and replace them with include:_custspf.clickandpledge.c‌c .

          Hello,

Thanks again for your help. We have added the SPF record and changed the From email address, but emails are still going to Spam in Outlook! Any ideas appreciated. Thank you.

I sent a test email to Salesforce support and they sent me this response:

I check the email headers of the email, It seems like the DMARC is failing and this might be the reason for the Emails on your Outlook to be marked as spam. You can check out this public website for testing some Email related settings: https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx...ndpledge.cc+&r un=toolpage

I ran a look up for their DMARC record and there is a possible update that they need to do on their end since their DMARC Quarantine/Reject policy is not enabled. Please contact 'Click and Pledge' Support team for more information.

Salesforce support is telling me there is nothing more they can do, and only Click & Pledge support can help. I'm anxious to receive a response to my previous message and get our Click & Pledge-via-Salesforce emails to stop going to spam. Thanks!

                Sorry for the delay.

I need some possibly sensitive information from you to continue my investigation. I just sent you an email with instructions.
