  • C&P Alias - Permissions Needed?

    I would like a non-System Administrator to be able to use C&P Alias records to update contacts. What permissions are needed?

    We have created one permission set for you in your instance: C&P Alias Permission Set you canassign it to the user you want to give access over C&P Alias.

      Thank you. The user still receives an error after clicking on the name of a C&P Contact Alias record. "Attempt to de-reference a null object". What other permissions might be needed? She has Modify All Data permissions.

          Yes, I have. I also added CnP_PaaS.Aliasviewpage (visualforce page access) to the permission set.

            Would you please share the username and profile name of the user in the question so that we can review it? if possible please grant us login access from that user as well.

              The user is [email protected], profile PQI Staff. I've reached out and requested that she grant you access as well.

              Edited - the user can only grant access to Salesforce or another package -- not C&P.

                We have assigned the temp contact permissions to the user. Can you please ask the user to check now and let us know if still see the error?

                  The error still persists. I assigned the user the PS-CnP-Event-All-Permissions and
                  PS-CnP-PaaS-All-Permissions permission sets to see if that would resolve the issue, but it did not.

                    In order to debug the issue please create a user for us with the same profile the user has.

                        Unfortunately, the password reset link is not working. When trying to reset the password by clicking on the reset link, it is taking us to the same page after entering the username as shown in the below image:

                        Do you have any idea? Have you set any security options or any IP restrictions for the users?

                          We have identified the issue. It was due to a lack of permission over the opportunity >> probability field. We have assigned the permissions

                          Please ask the user to test and let us know if that works.

                            I've tested it out, and the issue is solved. Thank you!

                            Regarding the password reset - it likely has to do with your email set-up. Here's a description of the problem. The solution is to have an admin go to the profiile -> password settings, and check the box that says "Don't immediately expire links in forgot password emails"
