Mapping Tracking Code

Hi,

We are appending a tracking code on our donation forms, for example: https://urm.org/n/easteremail2022/?t...40-2203HA43741
How can I map the trx code to a field in the opportunity record in SF? I know I have to create the custom field, but I don't know where in C&P that field is stored and how to map it.

Sorry, as of now, it is not possible to map to opportunity based on a tracker.

Hi. For our regular donations, using this form: https://connect.clickandpledge.com/w...73202180975148 the primary source code, the gift purpose, and the donation tracking code are automatically populated.

However, we now are receiving donations for our annual dinner. Donors have been buying tables using this registration form: https://freedomhouseorg.my.salesforc...G00000QU4dkQAD Although the primary source code is populating correctly (DEVELOPMENT: 2023 Dinner) neither the gift purpose nor the donation tracking code are accurate. The gift purpose is using the default that is set in SF (Unrestricted) rather than the value that I would prefer (Unrestricted - Annual Dinner) and the donation tracking code is blank. Is there a way to specify that the gift purpose for the dinner and to have the same backend logic work for populating the donation tracking code?

We haven't had any gifts for people who can't attend, who will be using this form: https://connect.clickandpledge.com/w...85290081833886 However, it appears that the same issue with the gift purpose and donation tracking code are present. Thanks!

Addendum: the payment method field on the donation payment populates automatically with "credit card" when a donor uses our regular donation form, but that field is blank for these annual dinner donations. Please advise as to how to auto-populate this field as well with these dinner donations. Thanks!

We reviewed and noticed the event opportunity you are referring to doesn't have any SKU value (blank) which is why it didn't satisfy the condition that you have set under "Item SKU Map" under C&P Settings > Custom Map.

However, in order to get the values on those two fields, either you will need to assign the SKU for Levels OR you will need to add the new condition in the Item SKU Map with Item SKU is: Blank as shown in the below image:

Thanks for the response. I looked at C&P Settings -> Custom Mapping -> Item SKU map, and I found the following items, which I believe were created by my predecessor:

Opportunity	>>	Payment Method	if	Any SKU		add	Credit Card
Opportunity	>>	Donation Tracking Code	if	Any SKU		add	Individual
Opportunity	>>	Gift Purpose	if	Item SKU Is	POLPRI	add	Restricted - Political Prisoners

If the Donation Tracking Code is set to Individual in C&P Settings (as shown above), why doesn't it impact these dinner gifts? Ditto - if the Payment Method is set to Credit Card in C&P Settings (as shown above), why doesn't it impact these dinner gifts?

I also looked at C&P Event Management -> Events -> 2023 Annual Awards. I reviewed every section. I found in the Additional Information section, under Levels, a SKU field. I wasn't clear how to use it, as it seemed like I could add one SKU for each level, but I thought that you were indicating that I needed to add one SKU for gift purpose and another SKU for donation tracking code. Is that right? If so, how I do I find the SKU for each item? I know how to find it for Campaign, but not for gift purpose or for donation tracking code.

Since we don't want ALL of the gift purposes to default to Unrestricted - Annual Dinner for ALL C&P gifts, I think that we would need more specificity than your suggestion of "you will need to add the new condition in the Item SKU Map with Item SKU is: Blank as shown in the below image:" If I knew how to access the gift purpose SKU, perhaps it would make sense to add an item that is parallel to the Political Prisoners item, once I understand how to do so. Thanks.

Since I hadn't heard back, I attend today's C&P Support Office Hours. Here are the steps that I took to solve the issue with the gift purpose, donation tracking code, and payment method for this year's dinner gifts:
Populating gift purpose (unrestricted – annual dinner), donation tracking code (individual), and payment method (credit card):

C&P Event Management module within SF -> Basic Information -> unchecked echeck as option, so that only credit card is an option, which correlated with our regular C&P donation forms
Now that the only option is credit card, that triggers the existing Item SKU mapping in C&P settings, which already says:
Opportunity >> Payment Method >> if >> any SKU >> add >> Credit Card

C&P Event Management -> Additional Information -> Levels -> add SKU “Annual Dinner” to each level

C&P settings module within SF -> Custom Mapping -> Item SKU map:
Opportunity >> Gift Purpose >> if >> Item SKU is >> Annual Dinner >> Add >> Unrestricted – Annual Dinner

C&P dinner donation form -> Campaign Details -> Payment Options -> add Item SKU “Annual Dinner” for each of the general donation payment options

Item SKU “Annual Dinner “ from Levels will trigger existing item SKU mapping in C&P settings, which already says:
Opportunity >> Donation Tracking Code >> if >> any SKU >> add >> Individual

We will be happy to help you with this. The transaction for your test registration did not have an item SKU on it.



This is what caused it to not map the values correctly. The SKU wasn't added because the test registration used the Additional Donation section to add the amount.



The Additional Payment option does not have a SKU added to it yet.



While checking the event we also noticed one of the event levels was missing a SKU as well.

For the Freedom House Anniversary Sponsor level, I intentionally left the SKU blank and made it inactive in Basic Information because that level only was applicable for last year. Again, thanks! Denise
