Our previously existing recurring donations continue to land in the old ("Membership 2021") Salesforce Campaign. Manually correcting this on each donor record in C&P is very time-intensive. I'm also not sure that it will correct each subsequent donation on the Recurring ID. Is there another workaround?

A - This is not at all related to the new update. If you want to update the Campaign for an existing recurring donation, then simply you need to edit the most recent installment order number in Connect and there you can update the new Campaign so that moving forward it will apply to upcoming installments.

We only have configured our Campaign SKU (to match our Salesforce Campaign ID). Is there any problem with NOT having SKU assigned to Items or Forms?

A - There will be no problem, it is all up to your need. If you want to segregate the Forms donations to particular campaigns, in this case, you can use Form SKU and the same applies to Item SKU.

I can do this, but first, can you let me know if these Item and Form SKUs must correspond to a particular alphanumeric field in Salesforce (the way the C&P Campaign SKU is the same as our Campaign ID in Salesforce) or can they be randomly created?

A - NO - you can randomly create and map accordingly in C&P Settings > Campaign. Due to the backward compatibility, we have given the option to give Campaign ID as Campaign SKU or Form SKU.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I don't recall seeing the emails about webinars ahead of the changes, but they also likely came at our busy fundraising season. I'm a one-person development shop, so it's hard to keep up sometimes! According to this Knowledge Base article, C&P recommends having SKUs for Campaigns, Items, and Forms. We only have configured our Campaign SKU (to match our Salesforce Campaign ID). Is there any problem with NOT having SKU assigned to Items or Forms?

Sorry that you have missed the many emails and webinars that were done prior to the release. We had 3 sets of webinars discussing all the changes and multiple emails that were sent. This update was necessary to set the stage for Salesforce application Release 10 coming in towards the end of Q2. Have you registered in the webinars planned for that release?

Your comment about not knowing of this feature grabbed my attention.. so I thought I add a comment.

Our team will answer the other question you have asked.

It would have been nice to have received heads-up about this update. We hadn't previously used SKUs to link to Campaigns. The simple Campaign name and ID were an easy way to ensure that C&P and Salesforce connected.

Now that we have updated the Connect Form, one problem persists. Our previously existing recurring donations continue to land in the old ("Membership 2021") Salesforce Campaign. Manually correcting this on each donor record in C&P is very time-intensive. I'm also not sure that it will correct each subsequent donation on the Recurring ID. Is there another workaround?

    Good day @[email protected]

We reviewed and found that you have an old Campaign assigned in Connect Form which is the reason it is not updating with the new one. In order to assign the new Campaign, you will need to change that in Connect Form.

With the new release, it is very easy to assign Campaigns based on SKUs. Once you define the SKU for Connect Form, you can map the Salesforce Campaign based on Form SKU under C&P Settings > Campaign.

Here is the KB article you must review: https://support.clickandpledge.com/s...tings-Campaign

Please review and let us know if you have any questions.

  • Recurring Donations posting to wrong Campaign source

I recently discovered a small problem with Opportunities (recurring donations specifically) not landing in the proper Primary Campaign despite my attempt to update them. One-time donations do not seem to have this problem.

I can share a specific Opportunity and its Recurring ID:
    C&P Order #: 21271-2203141052573575281
    Recurring ID: 693919

Goes to Campaign Source named Membership 2021 but I need it to go to Membership 2022

If I understand how to resolve this one, I believe I can update to route all the recurring donations to the proper campaign.
Our Salesforce ID is: 00Dd0000000ej33 1-week permission granted.

    Thank you,
    Ryan
