Please help us understand how State names and abbreviations are handled when a transaction comes into Salesforce for a new donor. Here's an example:
In the transaction in Connect, the billing address is Massachusetts
In Salesforce, the C&P Temporary Contact has State/Province = MA
The CnP Data has Billing State/Province = MA
When we create a new Contact from the Temporary Contact, the State is Massachusetts. The client is confused by this, since the Temporary Contact used MA.
We do not have State and Country/Territory picklists enabled in Salesforce.
I can provide access and an example if needed, but the Temporary Contact is no longer available as it has already been converted to a Contact.
