embedded VT not working

I am using version 4.21 in a sandbox connected to a C&P Test account.
I tried creating an eVT and when I tried to view it in a new window to see what would be in the iframe, all I see is a submit button. And when I clicked on it I got the following error:

2052 - Xml Error - The element 'OrderItemList' in namespace 'urn:APISchema.xsd' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'OrderItem' in namespace 'urn:APISchema.xsd'.

The eVT link you get in the form is not the complete URL. Please note that eVT is set up to be a complete payment form that gets all its variables through the URL.

There is a link in the eVT page that takes you to the manual and all the variables that need to be added to it at runtime. For example the basket items, etc.

As is shown in the manual there is a lot of variables and options that you may set up.

The ERROR you are stating simply says that ORDER ITEM is missing which simply means there is no item for basket - no basket name, no price, no tax, etc.

ok, I added a b1 parameter and it processed. Except I don't understand how that could be as I didn't specify a credit card number. And why didn't I?

Because nothing appears in the window except the submit button. Isn't it supposed to give me a mini-form to input cc number, exp date, etc. or echeck?

Also I specified a t1 parameter for the amount but the receipt had a 0 value.

Is there a way to pass my own custom parameters that will be reflected back in the SF transaction record that will created?

I see that you can specify recurring payments in the parameters but will you add the ability to choose in the form on the fly, like in the regular virtual terminal?

Please post the URL that you have constructed so we can find out what is missing.

The form will give you a credit card form as you see in the following image:

In your example you had set up1 = 0 which means the unit price is $0 and the item is free. When an item is free we don't show the credit card information.

I change the UP1=300 and now the price is set to $300 so the CC info shows up.

& we just realized that the manual is not showing the new parameters. The manual is being update now so it will show the correct variables.

Please test it and let me know if this answers your question.

When specifying recurring payments, it only gives installments option even though I added rm=subscription to the URL.

In any case the documentation is little sparse. It would be great to include some examples of constructed URLs.

1 is installment 2 is subscription

A form can ONLY have one method of subscription. You cannot have rm=1 and rm=2 for one form.

A form can either be in Subscription or Installment mode.

Your VT in SFDC allows choosing between installments and subscriptions. I want the end user to be able to choose.

The VT is designed for the organization to use and usability in that form is not an issue.

Our tests have shown that setting up both in 1 form causes major issues and confusion and that is why we don't offer that as an option. At this time that is not a choice.
