  • Virtual Terminal not allowing customer without email

    When processing a payment via the Salesforce Virtual Terminal, we're running into an issue we didn't used to have. When a customer doesn't have or provide an email address, we usually uncheck the Send Email to Patron box, and can process the transaction no problem. Now, we're receiving an error that says Please enter Email if you select Send Receipt and we can't process the transaction without putting an email address in there. This is SUPER inconvenient, because we then have to go back and clear out the dummy email address that was entered so we could process the transaction. I tested it in another customer's Salesforce org, and had the same issue, just FYI.


    Is there a new setting somewhere we need to adjust? Or is this something that changed with a release, and if so, could you please put a not on your list to change it back? Thanks for your help!
