  • Donation Duplicate Discrepencies

    We are having an issue with discrepancies between C&P and Salesforce. These first two individuals only have one donation in Salesforce but two here under our C&P history. These appear to be duplicates but it is unclear if one needs to be refunded or not. The second screenshot, from Parker Christensen, only the $25 donation was posted into Salesforce.

    Any guidance? Thanks.












    This is maybe not a duplicate but only the $25 transaction posted to SF.

      You have not attached the screenshots. Would you please share the order numbers of both of the transactions you are referring to and if possible attach the screenshots?

          We reviewed the above order numbers and noticed that it has been processed from the FaaS form which you have developed using our API: https://alaskaconservation.org/take-action/donate/

          Yes, those are duplicate transactions and you may want to refund one of them. We see this a lot where custom forms do not block double clicks and we found the same issue with your form.

          Our forms block double posts by simply blocking the submit button until a transaction completes. Please review the forms and block the double submission to avoid such issues.

          We also noticed that your page doesn't show any sign of processing the donation after clicking the submit button. You need to add some kind of icon or text to indicate that the page is submitting after hitting the submit button.

          Regarding Christensen, I see the transaction record in Salesforce but the C&P Data and Opportunity is missing from the record. It looks like some in your organization have been deleted the record. However, we have reposted the data into your Salesforce instance and it is now in there.
