  • Failed Echeck Transaction - Error message; expired credit card

    Hi,

We've had a couple donors letting us know that they tried to give a donation by echeck but it gave them the error that said expired credit card. I tried replicating the error but was unable to. But for sure we're experiencing this issue since different donors have reported this to us.
    Please help.

    Thanks

    Good day @mjokiman

Strange! Would you please share the link URL of the donation form where your donor sees that error so that we can review it?

        Good day @mjokiman

We are investigating the case but so far we unable to replicate the issue. If possible, please provide more information like OS and Browser version#s so that we can test in the same environment.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Sorry for the delay in getting back you. Our developer team had to investigate the issue before we submit a reply. Your case is also forcing us to take other actions on the platform.

Based on our research you have injected a hacking code in our CSS. We trust users of our platform not to make any code injection in areas we have opened for your convenience.

The following shows a code to alter our form, injected through the Google Tag Manager:

Name:	TagManger-Hack.jpg
Views:	142
Size:	67.5 KB
ID:	60248

The validation & injection algorithm is blocking your interactions since you have essentially changed our code via remote injection through Google tag manager.

Please remove this code immediately as we investigate this attempt further.
              Regards,

Hi, here's the response from our marketing agency that manages our forms..
We don’t think the snippet in the screenshot is from the GTM container that we have access to. Can we request more information about which GTM container/ID) Click&Pledge thinks this is coming from? Can we have them confirm they are seeing the error on the eCheck page (https://urm.org/echeck/)?

                Please advise...thanks

                  Good day!

                  The GTM used is: https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id=GTM-T7NRC9B

If you review the code you will see the added code set to hide the Credit Card in the form.

Please note that as of this writing, there is NO way for a form to ONLY show eCheck. Visa & MasterCard are mandatory for all forms and eCheck is another radio button. Based on agreements with the gateway we have to offer those cards on all of our forms. The fact that your form is ONLY showing eCheck naturally tells us the form has been altered and that is what had baffled our team.

Please review the GTM and the image we provided to see where the code is forcing the page to hide the mandatory fields. The hidden fields are passing blank values and as such the error you experiencing.

                  Hope that helps.
                  Regards,

Thank you. Is it possible to set up a call with you guys and our agency? It'd be easier than the back and forth of me relaying messages Thanks
