Armed Forces addresses

Hi there,

My org uses C&P payment forms (in Wordpress, widgets, and/or direct links) to take donations that sync back to Salesforce. However a donor just wrote us to say he was in the military and stationed abroad, but the donate form "state" drop-down didn't give him the option to select an 'armed forces' state (i.e. AA / AE / AP). Since the 'state' field is a required field, he was unable to make a donation to us.

My question is - is it possible to have the armed forces states added to our drop down, so donors stationed abroad can still make donations using our standard donate form? Is that option on there somewhere and we're just missing it? Is there a security reason why this isn't already an available option and, if so, is there a workaround we can use?

Historically we have stuck with the ISO standard to provide options for states, provinces, and countries, but realize that there can be special cases. Please give a few days to discuss internally and we will respond here to let you know what can be done.

After reviewing, we do need to abide by the ISO standard.

According to ISO's Country Codes collection

• AE is reserved for the United Arab Emirates
• AP is indeterminately reserved (apparently means ISO reserves it because it is used in other coding systems)

Of course, we'd love to accommodate the request - we certainly want our armed forces to be able to donate through our forms. But the forms are used internationally, and abiding by the ISO standard has been the best approach to provide equal access.
