  • Recurring Transaction Not showing up

Hello, the following recurring credit card transaction was made but it's not showing up on a report that i created, like the rest of mine? Any thoughts? Here a link to the report that show all other transactions: https://na124.lightning.force.com/li...06oO1xEAE/view

        Hi AlexSH ,

The recurring transaction you shared is not showing up in your report because it is in the "Online Donations" Campaign, and your report filters limit the results to "Capital Campaign One Heart" campaign.

          Hi Alex,

After our conversation in Live Support today, I reviewed your instance, and here's what I think may have happened:

I think you were on Tammy's record, you clicked the Campaign to edit the name, but instead it opened the "Online Donations" Campaign. You changed the name, only you changed it on the entire Campaign, not the single Recurring Donation record.

The results for both show up in the report because the filter is based on the Campaign Name- so it pulls for both Campaigns.

If I'm correct, then you just need to rename the Campaign back to "Online Donations" again.

Per our conversation in Live Support, I've also changed the Payment Type on these 3 orders from "Pledge Payment" to "Check".

Amanda - any ideas on how to change the campaign to the problem above? When I go to "edit" i'm seeing what the screen is saying now and it's having me change the entire campaign. Not just for the record. See attachment.

Got it. the only problem is the following records that you said you changed to "check" as opposed to "pledge payment" are still showing up at "pledge payments" on my end.

Sorry, Alex, I had edited the name of the Custom Payment on the transaction record, but this did not change the Payment Type. I did have to reprocess the records from C&P Data to resolve the Payment Type field's value. I've corrected that.

Note that if you were to repost these transactions directly from CONNECT, they would show as pledge payment again, but for the purposes of Salesforce, that has been corrected.

                            AlexSH ,

Find the Recurring Donation in CONNECT. On any of the transactions that are payments, click "Manage Recurring". Then click "Edit/Update". Enter the Salesforce Campaign information in the Salesforce Information section.

To make sure, I tested changing the Campaign on the Recurring record in Salesforce, and on the 'Master Order" transaction in Salesforce (aka first payment), and neither of those methods worked to change the campaign for the next installment.
                            .
You have to change it at the "source"

Once the next payment goes through, the Campaign on the Recurring record will be updated to reflect the change. The previous related transactions in Salesforce retain the Transaction Campaign they had originally.
