  • Updating Recurring Next Installment Date

We needed to update the next installment date of a recurring gift. It looks like you can do this in Connect, but not from the Salesforce side. So, we updated the recurring gift next installment date from Connect, but the next installment date hasn't updated in Salesforce. Is there an automatic process that sends those updates? (It's been at least a day since we changed the data).

Or do we need to post the donation again? We'd rather not remove the current data in Salesforce, but will posting with an existing record create a duplicate record in Salesforce or send the autoresponder again?

    Good day @kwclick5

Please note that once you change the next installment date in Connect, the new information will not post to SF until it charges the card on the date you have set for the next installment.

Hope that answers your question. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Okay, so if the next installment date was 11/30/2020 in Salesforce, but had been changed to 12/30/2020 in Connect, on 12/30/2020 the donation would actually run and the next installment date would change in Salesforce (probably to 1/30/2021 because that would be the next one after 12/30/2020 for a monthly donation)?

Is there a way to manually cause it to update in Salesforce sooner? It's easiest for us to do reports from the Salesforce side, so it's helpful to have up-to-date information there.

        Good day @kwclick5

Yes, that is correct. We don't suggest to update manually since it will affect when the actual recurring installment post.
