  • Deposit fund date onto opportunity

    Hi All,

I posted this on the Power of Us Hub last week, but didn't get any traction there. This is a very similar question to another posted earlier today.

I am in need to access the "deposit fund date' field that exists on the C&P Transaction object. I have created a "deposit fund date" on the opportunity record, and I would like it to get its value from the C&P transaction object based on matching the C&P order number, or another unique identifier field.

I've explored using DLRS to do this, but have become thoroughly confused.

Any ideas on the best way to go about doing this?

    Thanks!

Access has been granted if necessary.

    Good day @Northern Plains

Sorry for the delayed response. You may accomplish that using workflows since at opportunity we have a relation with the transaction object so you can get directly from the Transaction object.

Thanks for the reply. OK, I've got a workflow created, but it doesn't seem to want to work. Can you give any guidance on what I might be missing? The rule is called "deposit fund date".

        Good day @Northern Plains

Would you please share the order number so that we can review why it is not updating?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

We reviewed and fixed it. Moving forward it will work for all future transactions.

Please check and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thanks so much! So I needed to use the order number relationship directly to access the deposit fund date. I'm glad to know I was on the right track!

                Hello,

I'm still having some trouble here. The workflow we created works perfectly in some cases. However, when a new opportunity is created, the "deposit fund date" on the transaction record is still blank, so the workflow doesn't have any data to grab. If the opportunity is then edited, the workflow fires perfectly. I can't figure out, however to get this to fire upon the "deposit fund date" field being populated after the batch is pushed through.

I have recreated the workflow via process builder, and it works the same way, but I'm trying to get it to fire automatically again when the "deposit fund date" is populated.

I have re granted login access, and the process builder I'm working with is called Deposit Fund Date

                Thanks!

                  Good day @Northern Plains

Please note that we are not updating the deposit fund date immediately upon transaction processed until we get updated info from Propay. Once we get the information from Propay we are updating the info on the Transaction detail page. So you need to write the workflow/process builder based on the edit/update of the transaction object.

                  Hope that helps.
