  • Visualforce page displays "Authorization Required" on a payment page

    Hello,

This is an issue we have had before and it keep cropping up. Our tuition payment visualforce page is connect to our click and pledge account. When I click the link that will be sent to parents, I get the page attached to this message. Please help!

    ORG ID 00D610000008aBr
Access has already been granted for an upgrade request

EDIT: I see that I cannot enable the Paas Guest user profile permission for visualforce pages because it is a package managed by Click and Pledge

    Thanks

The Site you are using for this page is not one that was created for use with C&P apps. You have 3 Sites:

If you are upgrading C&P Apps, our post-installation would modify the Site Permissions for the Events site.

Your Forms site (and likely your Donate site) were not created by installing C&P apps. They use custom pages that are not part of our apps.

Your Forms site is using a custom Visualforce page called "Form" for its Active Site Home Page, and a Visualforce Page called CP_Site_Template for its Site Template:

These pages were created as custom pages for you. I suspect they were created by Kell Partners, as I see references to Kell in your account information.

Likely, a consultant, perhaps Kell, created these forms as custom C&P forms for you. I recommend you review past consultants you have worked with and contact them to resolve this issue. You may refer them to me, and I'll be happy to talk with them about the changes Salesforce has implemented this year that have required changes to Site Settings and permissions.

We can upgrade your C&P Apps and correct any permissions problems on your C&P Event Site. Would you like me to upgrade you?

Yes, could you please update all of our Click and Pledge apps. Thank you!

As far as I know, this form isn't for events. It is a form to allow parents to pay online tuition for summer camp. I had already asked our consultants to try and look into this, but they said they could not change the permissions because it was a managed package from Click and Pledge, much like I was not able to give PaaS Guest Site Users permission on this visualforce page.

Here is the URL to the page in question: https://campbelknap.secure.force.com...2N4M000002S0uo

Here is a link to the Donate Site for our Org: https://campbelknap.lightning.force....DM610000008qxJ

You will see that the Tuition visualforce page is a part of this site.

I would appreciate all the help

Yes, it is using the same Salesforce domain, but it is not the same "Salesforce Site"

The Events site is the one that was created for your Events app, the other two were created separately for custom forms created by a consultant that use our API to process a transaction.

Each Salesforce Site has it's own Site User profile, and its own site guest user with unique permissions just like your different Salesforce users may have different permissions.

Your consultant may be confused - our apps come with a pre-configured "permission set" that we assign to a Site Guest User as part of the post installation for our Event App. It's just a grouping of permissions so that they can all be applied at the same time. A consultant cannot modify this because it is part of a managed package, but they can clone it, change it, and assign it to a different user.

Are you still using Kell? It looks like the [email protected] login was used to update the app in April. If you let me know who you're working with, I'll get in touch with them and explain.

I upgraded your Salesforce instances as requested. Let me know if you need me to work with your consultant on those other sites.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT: It is IMPORTANT that you re-establish connection to Salesforce. The connected user must have access to various objects and the following access levels:
          • Be an administrator
          • Have the following permission sets assigned:
            • PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY
            • PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY (If the event is installed)
The following KB articles may be of help:

          Establish connection with Salesforce: http://cnp.ooo/Salesforce-Connection
          Latest Release notes: http://cnp.ooo/SF-ReleaseNotes
You may also join our Power of Us Hub: http://cnp.ooo/PoU-Hub

          PLEASE NOTE:

1- Your account may show that it is already connected, but this does not mean the new fields have posted to Salesforce. Please “DISCONNECT” and click on “CONNECT” again to establish connection.

2- If you make any changes to the information on this page, you will see an “UPDATE /VERIFY” button instead of Connect. Click on the Update/Verify button to re-establish connection.

As part of this upgrade we have performed the following tasks:
          • Installed the latest updates of Click & Pledge’s Salesforce applications
          • Performed the post-installation steps
          • Reviewed the existing connected user’s profile and ensured the following permission sets are assigned to the existing connected user:
            • PS-CnP-PaaS-Connected-User-ONLY
            • PS-CnP-Event-Connected-User-ONLY
If you change the connected user please make sure the above permission sets are assigned to the new user.

We love to hear from you
As always, we appreciate your feedback. Our customers are our only source of advertising, so positive reviews are always welcome and greatly appreciated.

Please review our apps on AppExchange:
