Campaign not being created

We reviewed and found that the transaction Campaign has been assigned correctly. If you want to assign the transaction campaign as a primary campaign source to the opportunity then you need to set up the mapping under C&P Settings >> Opportunity > Primary Campaign Source.

When I create a transaction in the virtual terminal and notate the campaign, it does not pass the value to the opportunity’s primary source campaign. Any idea as to why this is this happening?
