  • Autoresponder Continuously Running

    I have an autoresponder that is running based on Declined transactions and we are getting the email almost every hour even though the transaction that declined was days ago. Can you help me solve this so that it is not sending over and over again?

    It shows up in the Autoresponder Queue, but does not show up in the Autoresponder Log as having been sent, but I can confirm that at 1pm today one was sent via the 125 Gearhart Declined autoresponder. We do NOT want to create opportunities for declined transactions, but if we absolutely must, we could if we absolutely had to. My main concern is that this is the only way to notify donors if their credit card declines on a recurring transaction, right? So if this continuously fires, there's no way to notify donors when a credit card declines.

    The donor did setup a recurring transaction after this order that was successful and the autoresponder worked great from what I can tell for that one, just declined transactions are getting in a loop with the autoresponder.

    We noticed that after upgrading to the latest version of our apps we don't see any responder in the queue. They are now in the autoresponder logs. Are you still receiving the Autoresponders?

      Yes, it appears that after the upgrade the error is solved. I'll repost again if the issue continues after the upgrade. Sorry!

        It looks like this issue has occurred again. I have an autoresponder firing every hour. There is a related one that goes to donors that I cancelled because I don't know how much time it will take for you guys to look at it and didn't want it to continue going to them, but this one is the internal email for declined transactions.

          It looks like deleting the one to the donor actually also removed the one to the staff member. I really don't want this to happen again though. Why would it get stuck sending every hour for 2 days?

            Would you please confirm whether you have received the responder after 9 AM on 13th May?

                We don't see any reason to send the responder multiple times. However, if you see the issue in the future please share the order number before deleting or editing anything so that we can review what's going on.
