  • Need help with donation that is missing from Salesforce contact record

    Hi there - could you please investigate why a recent donation (it is showing up as a successful C&P transaction, a successful C&P Recurring transaction in SF, and the funds have been deposited into bank account) is not showing as an opportunity in Salesforce? Its a bit concerning that there may be other transactions missing from SF as well, so would appreciate if you could look into this ASAP. Have granted acesss to the SF production instance (org id is 00D2E0000012rpR) for the next 3 days. The order number of interest is 60289-191208110111102

    We have fixed it. The reason for not creating the opportunity because the data is ended up with the following error in C&P Data: "Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW, unable to obtain exclusive access...."

    The reason for the above error is updating of record in the asynchronous form. In other words, the objects were busy when we were trying to insert the data. We simply reposted the data and it fixed it. It's about timing.

      Thanks for looking into that - where were you able to see the error and was any email notification sent to alert anyone to this? I'm concerned there are other failed posted transactions that no one is aware of. My first instinct was to try reposting the transaction as well but that only addresses transactions that are known to be failed (in this case the failed post was associated with one of the system admins, so we knew something was awry. This is not always going to be the case!)

        You can see the error under C&P Data of the above order number. By changing the view to error for the C&P Data tab, you can see the list of order numbers that have errors or messages.
