  • Cannot Post Transaction to Salesforce

    Hi,

I have a transaction (#24347-1910221740155091742) made on 10/22 that will not post to Salesforce. When it was first made I received an error message that there was something wrong with our Salesforce Connection. This was because I had activated 'My Domain' in SF but not updated the Login URL in the integration. That has now been fixed, and the transactions that have come in since then have posted fine. I have tried re-posting this transaction to SF multiple times, but it still has not worked.

One other element that may be affecting this is that this transaction was through a C&P form embedded in an iFrame on a website that is still in development. We had just put in the form and were trying to test it out, but I worry that this might be contributing to the problem. DO you know what is going wrong?

    Thanks,
    Meredith

      Good day @mgallogly

We reviewed the above order number and found that the URL of your donation page contains the ampersand "&" and passing it through the XML as referrer URL which is causing an issue with data posting to SF and ending up with the XML error.

We suggest you remove the ampersand from your donation page URL where you embed the page i.e. http://dev.grownativemass.org/Join-&-Support/donate

However, we have manually fixed the above order number.

        Thank you!

Are there any other characters we should avoid using in the URL so that we don't run into this error again?

As of now, there is an issue with ampersand only.
