  • SKU is not updating the Record Type

    Hi there.
    I have created a very basic custom mapping in Settings so that "SKU = EF123" then "Oppt Record Type = Event Fees".
    When i send an invoice with the same sku or even when I create a test oppt and fill in the SKU to = EF123 I am still getting Opportunities with Record Type = Donation.
    Any ideas for troubleshooting?

      Hello.

      There is no Order Number, because it is an invoice that created the Opportunity.

      Based on the SKU=EF123 the oppt record type should be Event Fees.

        Ah, please note that in case of an invoice, after the invoice gets paid, the opportunity will update the record-type per the mapping.

          oh ok that's definitely too bad. but i can use workflows to update the opportunity if that's the case. Is this maybe something that can be changed in the future? If CNP is creating the Opportunity then I would think it should be creating it correctly from the start.

            This is unlikely to be changed.

            I think you'll understand the C&P app better thinking of it as an integration app.

            It is not meant to operate independently within Salesforce; only a portion of our customers use Salesforce. C&P PaaS app is a means of letting you bring information from your C&P account INTO Salesforce when transactions happen. Thus your Click & Pledge Account is always the primary database for your transactions to process, and what comes into Salesforce is a copy of that data to make your record tracking more convenient. C&P settings lets you set up rules to customize how the transaction data will come in, and this is where most of the action happens.

            It's not a two-way sync - if you make changes to a transaction on the Salesforce side, there is nothing updating that information on the C&P account side, except for some limited predefined functions, like when you click a button to issue a credit or cancel a recurring donation.

                Another question about invoicing.
                when i click the New Invoice Button, I am met with this screen:

                My predecessor created these two default payments. Can you tell me where they live? How do i edit what is default here? I can't find it!
