  • Donations not being mapped to correct Campaign

    Hi there,
We are working in Account 60144 (Dayspring Technologies | Enneagram Prison Project) and have set up a simple donation form. We have added the Campaign Name and ID in the "Salesforce Campaign" section of the Campaign Details form builder, but our test donations, although correctly creating the contact, account and opportunity, are NOT associating the opportunity with the campaign. We are no longer able to test because Click & Pledge is now flagging our credit cards as fraud. Can someone help us with this issue?
    Thanks!

    Good day @lsoulet

Would you please grant us login access to your Salesforce instance and share any of those order numbers so that we can review it?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

        Good day @lsoulet

Please note that the Salesforce Campaign defined in Connect (affecting the entire transaction) will be deprecated from Connect. Please review C&P Settings > Opportunity > Primary Campaign rules to ensure Opportunities receive the correct campaign. Check 'Use Transaction Campaign' in your C&P Setting rules to retain the Salesforce Campaign specified in Connect; however, we recommend implementing SKUs as the best long-term strategy.

Thank you. I have adjusted this setting by following your screen shot above. I am still not able to test however, as Click & Pledge is still flagging my credit card as fraud. How can I bypass this in order to test the Campaign functionality?

            Good day @lsoulet

The above-specified settings are to ensure Opportunities receive the correct campaign NOT for fraud. However, you could do one thing during the test. Set up a custom fraud profile and whitelist your IP or the campaign associated with the form.

If you set up a custom profile for fraud you can bypass the fraud check. See: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...ticles/1574037

Try it and your transactions will go through.

Thank you for your reply. We were able to resolve. One last question: I have not received email notifications from Click & Pledge when there has been a post/reply here in the forum (from ClickandPledge.com Support Forum with subject line: "A New Post in your Forum Post Subscription"). I checked my notification settings in my profile and it looks like I am supposed to be receiving notifications. Is there a setting that I have missed? Thanks so much.

Additionally, we have a custom field in our donation form: Notification Preference. When I set up mapping, I mapped each picklist value to its corresponding value in Salesforce. It seems to be working for the "Postal" value but not the "Email" value. Is there something that I need to do differently in the custom mapping? Thanks!

It seems your email service provider blocking our emails. Please contact them to make sure they whitelist list. Regarding the Custom Mapping, please grant us access and share the order number so that we can review it.

                      Hi Lisa,

As we discussed in Live Support, the reason you are experiencing issues with your fields mapping is because you have the same question collected twice on your form- yes, the Patron would only be answering one of the two appearances of those questions; however, the answers to all the questions are included in the transaction data sent to Salesforce, whether the Patron answers them or not.

In addition, you created a mapping rule for both the Preferred Notification: Email and Preferred Notification: Postal questions, and as each mapping is updated in the order specified. Basically the populated value for the Preferred Email Questions is always getting written over by the Preferred Postal Questions- which are often blank.

The suggested resolution was to alter your question wording on both the form and in the mapping settings to distinguish which version of the question is referenced- which will work to separate the questions, but still cause a problem when you are mapping both questions to the same Notification field.

I would suggest that you bring the Notification Recipient and the Notifier's Address information out of the conditional section, so the question only needs to be asked once. Then it does not matter which method they prefer (although you can still collect the preference), the Patron's response will only be collected once.

                      Similar to this example:

In this case, the form can be used whether the Patron intends to dedicate the gift or not- and that preference determines if the additional information is collected- you could just change 'Is this an honorarium or a Memorial?' to "Preferred Notification Method'.

Now the whole approach becomes cleaner, and you've avoided the issues you created with the other approach!

Hope you find that approach helpful,
                      ~ Amanda
