  • Need Help RE: Best Practice to Reconcile TransLink Deposit Report with C&P

Posting this through recommendation of Amanda Byrne at C&P App group in Salesforce. Our bookkeeper is having difficulty reconciling the C&P transaction reports with the batch deposits coming in from TransLink to our bank account. As a non-profit, she needs to be able to classify memberships, donations and fees. We can see all of that detail on the C&P report, but the TransLink report is a batch of multiple transactions with fees removed and we do not know what that total number represents. Can you recommend a solution we can put in place in order to be able to categorize our deposits?

This is a critical need for a non-profit. Thank you!

    Hi Kristin,

Per our discussion yesterday, I have filed a Feature Request to add 'Gateway Transaction Number' as a field that is available in Connect Reports.

This is where you can find the field in the Transaction Details:

In the meantime, I notice that your organization does use Salesforce. I have been creating an article for our Knowledge Base about using a Salesforce report for reconciliation. It has not yet been published, but I will PM a link for you- you may find it helpful.

    Sincerely, Amanda

            Hi Amanda,

Would you mind sharing the article with me as well? I am having the same issue with my C&P reports and our accountant needs a report for November as soon as possible.

Donor Management: Reconcile your Bank Deposits

Please note this article is designed for TSYS/TransFirst customers to assist with reconciliation, but may be helpful for ProPay accounts until we are able to post the ProPay deposit data to the transaction record. It is currently being tested and should be available soon.

The information briefly posted about the new ProPay fields/and Reports is accurate, but in order to reconcile you will want to have access to the per transaction fee. Please allow another day to ensure accuracy about the best resource for the per transaction fee information, and I will restore the post with the modified information. The Processing Fee field on the Transaction object (API: CnP_PaaS__Charge_Amount__c) is a deprecated field and should not be used.
