Question about Apex Triggers

Can you set up an Apex trigger (or workflow) in Salesforce that is connected to a CnP Transaction so that when a person donates Salesforce sends a thank you email to them?
If so, I would love to know how to do this and where a good resource is for learning more about triggers.

The answer is YES - one can do pretty much do anything within Salesforce.
